Statistical Report
July 1, 2005-June 30, 2006

  • The Network served 742 clients (659 adults, 83 children)in fiscal year 2005-2006. A total of 80 adults and children were sheltered 700 nights in Shelter One and Shelter Two. Shelter One can house nine clients. Shelter Two, that opened in April 2005, can house six people.
  • The Network maintained one adult support group serving 44 clients during the course of the year. Our child advocacy program serves children in support group, and provides individual services. Individual counseling for adults was available by appointment.
  • The Network Legal Advocacy at the Law and Justice Center in Bozeman, MT, works with the municipal, justice, and district courts. Three hundred forty-three clients were served in this program through assistance of victims of domestic violence with 168 orders of protection. All clients are referred to legal support for civil legal matters.
  • The Network crisis hotline received 1,066 crisis calls. Currently, 26 volunteer advocates are trained to answer the crisis line.
  • The Network Community Education Advocate worked with Montana State University- Bozeman Students Against Sexual Assault to make presentations to students in Gallatin and Madison County schools on healthy relationships and dating violence.
  • The Network hosts two fundraising events each year. The Drop 'n Trot in July is attended by over 156 runners who do push-ups prior to running a 5K course. The Network holiday appeal raises 7% of Network funds. Federal and state grants fund 47% of Network programs. Greater Gallatin United Way funded 10% of Network programs. Private foundations, business and individual donors support 32% of the Network budget.
  • The Network is a 501-c-3 non-profit corporation led by a six member Board of Directors who represent various disciplines. Network staff consist of five full-time and two part-time staff members. A counselor is contraced to led the adult support group.
  • The Network is a member of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV), the Montana Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCADSV), and the Montant Non-Profit Association (MNA). Network staff facilitate the action team Gallatin Violence Prevention Team (GVPT) and attend the action team Healthy Sexuality and Teen Pregnancy Prevention. Network staff serve on the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART).
