of The Network Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse Staff

EMILY M. TOFTE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Emily M. Tofte joined The Network staff in October 2007. Before joining The Network, Ms. Tofte worked in various domestic violence and sexual assault prevention agencies across the nation including North Dakota, Indiana, and Michigan. Ms. Tofte has extensive experience working in community based organizations which provide services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.  She has worked in many capacities with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence including the roles of crisis interventionist, counselor, legal advocate, response team member, facilitator of education and training workshops, supervisor of volunteer programs, program evaluator, community organizer, and domestic violence research assistant. Ms. Tofte holds two Bachelor’s degrees (Psychology and Criminal Justice), a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. When Emily isn’t working she enjoys reading, hiking, camping, yoga, and traveling.

STACEY LYONS, SHELTER COORDINATOR
Stacey Lyons joined The Network staff in November 2005 as the Administrative Assistant. In December 2006 she was promoted to the Client Advocate position. As Client Advocate, Stacey works with the staff team to provide the best support for the women and children we serve. In May 2008, Stacey was promoted to Shelter Coordinator. Ms. Lyons oversees shelter operations on a daily basis, supervises the Client Advocate and weekend/night staff, answers the crisis line during the day, and is actively involved with programming development for Network clients. Ms. Lyons maintains the client database on the Providers Data Quality (PDQ) system. She has held various social service positions in both Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. Ms. Lyons holds a BA degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Stacey enjoys fly-fishing on local rivers and abroad.

KRYSTAL REDMOND-SHERRILL, LEGAL ADVOCATE
Krystal is a Montana native and an MSU graduate. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology while learning a passion for advocacy working at the VOICE Center on the MSU campus. Along with participating in “Take Back the Night” marches and the Survivor Monologues, Krystal has a variety of skills she brings to her position as legal advocate. Coming from a financial institution, she is savvy with numbers and is available to explain the ins and outs of financial security. When she isn’t working, you can find her hiking or fly fishing, floating down the Madison river, and taking advantage of the outdoor opportunities living in Bozeman presents.

HEATHER McKAIN, CLIENT ADVOCATE
Heather McKain is the new Client Advocate for The Network. Heather’s desire to work with rural and at-risk populations began in the Fiji Islands where she managed a community clinic. After the Fiji Islands, Heather obtained her degree in Community Health Education from MSU. Following school, Heather worked at Community Health Partners as a Medical Assistant. Her desire to work with people has given her many valuable experiences, including, relief work in Guatemala and volunteer work in both Norway and Morocco.

COLLEEN CRANE, OVERNIGHT & WEEKEND STAFF
Colleen Crane joined The Network’s team in 2008 as Weekend & Overnight Staff. Ms. Crane holds her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and is a licensed social worker by the State of Montana. Ms. Crane has an extensive background in providing services to survivors of domestic violence and has a private practice in Bozeman.

NATASHA COLLINS, AMERICORP VISTA MEMBER
Natasha Collins will be working at The Network Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse through the VISTA program.  She will develop a Speaker's Bureau in Bozeman.  The Speaker's Bureau will present educational material regarding sexual and domestic abuse throughout the Gallatin Valley. Natasha is originally from Helena, Montana and graduated from high school in 2003.   Natasha completed her undergraduate degree in political science at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2007.  She focused on post-communist states and woman's issues.  While completing her BA, she volunteered at the Santa Cruz County Court in the Family Law Facilitator's office, aiding residents in legal matters.  Upon finishing her BA, she interned at Governor Brian Schweitzer's office in the Office of Budget and Program Planning.  Last year she lived in St Petersburg, Russian Federation while completing a work/study program. Natasha enjoys reading, biking, hiking, languages, and hot springs.
