About Us
The Network Against Sexual and Domestic
Abuse began serving clients in 1979.
Over the past twenty - seven years we have maintained our commitment to assisting
victims of sexual and domestic abuse through intervention and prevention programs.
Core values: EQUALITY, SELF-DETERMINATION, DIVERSITY, RESPECT AND NON-VIOLENCE
The Network Believes:
- We believe that every individual has the right to a life free of abuse
and oppression.
- We believe that every individual has the right to self - determination
and respect.
- We believe that abuse can be experienced by anyone and that in our
society those with less power are more likely to be abused.
- We believe what an individual says about his or her experience is
true.
- We believe that we are accountable to survivors and their participation
in the organization is essential.
- We believe that the manner in which we work towards our goals is
as important as realizing them, and therefore are committed to empowering
the liberating ways of working together.
- We believe that education is vital to change.
- We believe that in order to have peace in the world, there must
be peace in the home.
